Ipsil IPμ8930 demo The Ipsil Configuration Utility and interface software code may be downloaded free of charge for interacting with the IPý8930. The IPý8930 is a complete TCP/IP and web server SOC. No additional CPU/RTOS/software stack/memory components are required. Using Ipsil's FlowStack technology, the IPý8930 is capable of line speed performance with minimal latency and no jitter, according to the company. You can also link to a live IPý8930.
GoAhead SelfReliant 3.0 is a portfolio of platform-independent middleware delivering high availability, systems management, and messaging services to developers of highly available embedded systems. It is targeted at commercial networks that need to ensure 99.999% or higher levels of availability. SelfReliant's modular architecture offers project teams a choice of four products:
- Basic Availability Management (SR-BAM) HA software that makes applications highly available in less than 30 minutes without programming, according to the company
- Distributed Messaging (SR-DM) High performance messaging
- Embedded Systems Management (SR-ESM) Systems management building blocks
- SelfReliant Advanced Suite (SR-AS) Integrated suite combining HA, distributed messaging and systems management
Cape Clear Software--now owned by WorkDay--is offering a free graphical WSDL Editor for programmers interested in working with Web Services. The Cape Clear WSDL Editor delivers an environment for Web Services Definition Language (WSDL) development. It's appropriate for novice programmers and provides additional features for experienced Web Services developers. The WSDL Editor includes wizards to eliminate the complexity of WSDL, WSDL validation to simplify testing, and support for the creation of Web Services from XML Schema. Eclipse.org's WSDL Editor may also be of interest.
Wind River's Rapid Control is a suite of external management interfaces bundled with common development tools and a secure, transactional, and dynamic software backplane that allows developers to instrument their application for management once and attach multiple external management interfaces. The Rapid Control Demo demonstrates the "write once, present anyhow" device management backplane in a Windows development and demonstration environment. Rapid Control unifies device management functions and interfaces within a single integrated development framework.
LANSleuth Network Analyzer allows you to generate proprietary packets to test software embedded in your product or view data communications to your hardware device to debug software issues such as TCP/IP and proprietary protocol handshaking. The full-function demo limits packet capture from 48Meg to 4K and the print and save functions have been disabled.
KADAK's KwikNet TCP/IP Stack has a configuration utility which enables the embedded system developer to add networking features to products with a minimum of time and expense. The KwikNet User's Manual and a demo of the KwikNet Configuration Builder can be downloaded for evaluation.
Access' NetFront v3.1 SDK for Linux is a free demonstration/evaluation version of Access' Internet browser specifically designed for Linux-based embedded applications.
